Therapy can be a hard process as we explore difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and make sense of how these pieces impact you. Trust, compassion, respect, and nonjudgment are key elements that ensure you feel safe within our therapeutic relationship - you will never be asked to discuss something you don't want to, or are not ready to discuss!
Customized Therapy to Meet Your Unique Needs
As we begin to work together and I learn more about you and your story, I will tailor my approach to meet your presenting needs. I take an integrated approach which incorporates interventions from several evidence-based treatment orientations. These orientations are listed and explained in the Understanding Clinical Orientations tab under Resources! While I bring some knowledge and expertise to the table, you are ultimately the expert on your life and will collaborate on decisions regarding how and what you want to explore in therapy.
Your Past and Present Relationships are Important
Much of what brings individuals to therapy has to do with past and present relationships and the desire to improve connection, emotion regulation, communication, social, and coping skills. As I work from a Trauma and Attachment Therapy lens, we will explore aspects of your past and present relationships, and how you may wish to shift expectations, grieve, and heal so you may show up in your important relationships the way you want to.
My Personal Values
Resilient Cactus Psychotherapy is a small clinical practice that provides personalized supports. My goal is to make scheduling sessions convenient and respectful of your time and resources. I do not dictate how and when you engage in therapy and understand your need to take breaks and return to therapy at your discretion. This is your personal journey and I am here to support you along the way!
