Free Phone Consultation

Contact me via phone, text, email, or through the form on this website to set up a free phone consultation. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, I will answer any of your questions, and we will decide if we are a fit to move forward with therapy.

Rates

  • $140* for each 60-minute session.
  • $210* for each 90-minute session.

Age

Sessions are available for individuals 10+.

Session Availability

  • In-Person: Mondays and Fridays

  • Virtual: daytime, evenings

Insurance

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician for services to be covered?

Payment

All major credit cards* (subject to a 2.4% fee per transaction as per Canada’s Credit Card Processing Fee) and e-transfers (no additional fee) are accepted as forms of payment. Payment is due at the end of each session. Receipts are provided via email upon receipt of payment.

Cancellation List

Existing clients may request to be added to the cancellation list for a certain day or time. Sessions will be offered to the cancellation list on a first come first served basis.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) will be subject to a flat fee of $80. 

Therapy Breaks

Clients may take a break from sessions at any time, and can resume sessions at their discretion, regardless of the length of time since their last session. Simply log into the client portal and schedule your session, or contact via email/text. Your password can be reset at any time.

Wait List

To ensure existing clients can access session times within two weeks, new clients may be asked to wait briefly before their first session is scheduled. This ensures that existing clients can maintain their therapeutic momentum. New clients will be scheduled as soon as possible based on a first come first served basis and their availability. Wait listed clients may request a referral to another clinician at their discretion.

Booking Sessions

Existing clients may book further sessions through the client portal or during any session. Sessions are scheduled on a first come first served basis. Clients are encouraged to schedule ahead if necessary to ensure they secure session times that work for their availability.

Crisis Supports

Resilient Cactus Psychotherapy is unable to provide crisis or emergency sessions and cannot guarantee a response to session requests with short notice.
